CANCER EDUCATION & EARLY DETECTION (CEED)

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

 

Full-Time position with a community-based, non-profit health center.  Responsible for the coordination of activities assuring that timely cancer education, screening and follow-up services are provided to individuals in the program and maintenance and implementation of CEED program policies and procedures.

 

Minimum qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, or licensed RN or LPN.

  • Min 2 yrs in patient care and/or health admin. in a public health setting required.

  • Experience supervising programs and people

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of issue and/or programming related to breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer a plus

  • Experience related to writing and managing state and private public health grants

  • Ability to develop and implement public health programs

  • Ability to work collaboratively with external organizations

  • Ability to prepare and implement public presentations to diverse populations.

  • Proficient knowledge of computer programs: Word, Excel and Power Point

Illustration of Duties

  • Plan and implement policies and procedures related to the CEED program.

  • Develop and revise all patient care material related to the CEED program, including outreach and educational materials, in conjunction with Supervisor.

  • Collaborate in writing, submitting and follow-up reporting of CEED grant proposals  

  • Ensure the completion of all grant reports and client level data, etc. according to established grant guidelines.

  • Ensure that the coordination of patient care and client care follow-up is being provided according to grant requirements and agency policy.

  • Collaborate with external partners on strategic and event planning.

  • Provide cancer education to organizations and community groups.

Part time positions at Women’s Health & Counseling Center (WHCC), an ambulatory care facility in Somerville, NJ.

Opportunities:

  • Part-time positions available
  • Providing GYN and/or Primary medical care and treatment to patients in a beautiful women's health care center
  • Hours may include Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings 3-9 PM
  • NO weekends or major holidays

Qualifications:

  • Current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in NJ
  • Two years experience in family planning/reproductive health or primary care.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
